BCCA accredited and notified for EN 17235

An important milestone has been reached in the field of fall protection. Following its publication in March 2025, EN 17235, the standard for permanent anchor devices and safety roof hooks for fall protection, obtained the status of a harmonised standard on 9 February 2026.

As a result, CE marking is now mandatory for the products covered by this standard.

BCCA among the first notified bodies

BCCA is now accredited and notified for assessment and certification according to EN 17235. As one of the first notified bodies in this field, we are ready to support manufacturers in achieving compliance and obtaining CE marking for their products.

Transition period until 9 August 2027

Manufacturers benefit from a transition period until 9 August 2027 to comply with the requirements of the standard and affix the CE marking to their products.

We recommend starting the process as early as possible in order to:

  • ensure continued access to the European market;
  • avoid delays in the conformity assessment process;
  • demonstrate the safety and compliance of your products.
