Since January 2017, BCCA npo has been acting as a certification body for EUCEB, the European Certification Board for Mineral Wool Products.

What is a EUCEB certificate?

EUCEB was established in 2000 to enhance the confidence of authorities, clients and consumers in the safety of mineral wool by providing information on their non-classification under the European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, packaging and labelling of substances and mixtures in the context of the protection of human health and the environment.

The EUCEB certificate is a voluntary declaration stating that mineral wool fibres have a chemical composition that falls within the ranges of exempted reference fibres that have been tested according to the European protocols and are in accordance with the provisions of Note Q of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.

Holders of a EUCEB certificate shall be entitled to use the EUCEB label on products made from fibres that comply with the requirements of the certificate.

The EUCEB label is owned by the npo EUCEB that has appointed BCCA as an independent certification body for the implementation of a EUCEB certification scheme in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17065.
